This performance was part of the concert that the Greater Cleveland Flute Society (https://gcfs.org/) organizes every year with original pieces (for solo flute or ensembles that include any type of flute) written by composers of the Cleveland area.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION – These “Three Miniatures for Flute Trio and Piano” are part of a series of short pieces for solo instruments or small ensembles. Each of these pieces is self-contained. Aside for the common instrumentation, there is no specific connection with each other; they don’t share themes, harmonies, materials. The focus of the first miniature today is color and timbre; the second one explores the blending of the flutes with the long natural decay of piano sounds, struck; and the last miniature revolves around rhythm.
